Animations

Buffed Animal

A short about a child and stuffed animal who face a frightening monster.

I made this animation with a very talented group of students (credited in the film) for the advanced track of Berkeley's 3D animation class. My contributions include modeling, rigging, and animating the buff bear, and using MASH for the stuffing explosion effect.

Software: Maya and Pixar's Renderman

The Sweater

The story of a ball of yarn whose fate suffers from human intervention.

I made this animation with a very talented group (credited in the film) for Berkeley's 3D animation class. My contributions include modeling the chair and sweater, creating the yarn bump map, and animating the yarn falling off the table.

Software: Maya and Pixar's Renderman

Las Pajaritas Ending

An animated ending for Barestage's spring 2021 production Las Pajaritas, where Taylor is walking out of her apartment as a small bird flies away into the sun.

I worked with two very talented artists to construct this animation: Anny Wu storyboarded and animated the bird, and Fiona Oh created the background and concept art. I animated Taylor and composited the animations with the video footage.

Software: Adobe After Effects and Blender

She Kills Monsters, Beholder Scene

From Barestage's fall 2020 production She Kills Monsters, Agnes confronts Vera the Beholder.

All credits for the voices goes to the amazing cast of the show. Background and character concepts for this scene are by the talented Fiona Oh. And of course, this scene benefited from the insight and direction of the production team and the show's other artists.

(Animatic) Edgehog

My first animation, created for Spring 2020's Art for Animation decal class.

It follows the story of a hedgehog who, fed up with the complexity of modern society, decides to live a simple life of drinking tea. Until an evil snake swaps the tea for coffee...

Software: Krita and Adobe Premiere Pro

(Non-animation) Evil Rubber Ducky

A very crude draft of mine. After composing over the Sesame Street Rubber Ducky song to add some spook, I edited together two videos of rubber ducks in my backyard under various lighting.
